  • Excellent examples of the Eastlake style; sponge-painted surface in black with black edges; frames made out of three moldings; spoon-carved decoration in the center of the outer molding and in the corners of the flat liner; stencilled inner liner; outer edges of the frames are ebonized. You can see an illustration of this classic Eastlake style in Forgotten Marriage by Stanley Burns, Plate #36.

  • Sight size 9 5/8"H x 7 5/8W"
  • Height at outside edge 2"
  • Overall size 17 1/4"H x 15 1/4"W
  • Condition: very good condition with minor losses commensurate with age. Traces of gold overpaint on the silver-gilded surfaces.
