AMERICAN EMPIRE STYLE Circa 1830 With its bright, yellow-gold gilding over dark gray bole, this molding is a fine example of the American Empire style. It has a wide, deep cove and nice detailing toward the sight edge. Mustard-colored outside edge; mitered corners. The frame looks to be in its original size. Rabbet size 9 3/4"H x 8 1/4"W Outside dimensions 13 3/4"H x 12 1/4"W Molding width 2 1/2" Depth at outside edge 1 3/4" Sight size 9 3/8"W x 8 7/8"W Condition: very good with minor scuffs along the outer edge and one small gesso loss lower right outer edge.
