Circa 1830

  • A Sully style frame with its characteristic inward-canted flat profile. This one has a flat, raised outer edge and detail along the sight edge as well. Gold leaf over grey bole, with a soft gold color. Mitered corners. The gessoed outside edges are painted in a dull mustard color and curve out slightly at the top.

  • Rabbet depth 5/8"
  • Sight size 14 1/8"H x 19 5/8"W
  • Overall dimensions 15 5/8"H x 24 1/8/8"W
  • Condition: very good with minor gesso losses as seen in detail photos. The gilded surface has a very old varnish or shellac. The gessoed outer edge has been played with over the years.
