EBONIZED RIPPLE Circa 1850 The largest of the recent arrivals in the rippled style, which was so popular in the Mid-Nineteenth Century. The finish on this frame is quite dark with reddish-brown highlights. The frame has a flat English gilded liner, which accounts for the disparity between the sight and rabbet sizes. Mitered corners. The outside edges are painted matte black. Rabbet size 22"H x 18"W Sight size 20 5/8"H x 16 5/8"W Overall size 24 1/2"H x 20 1/1"W Total molding width 2" Molding depth at outside edge 2" Condition: very good with age-appropriate wear.
