SILVER GILT Circa 1850 Another lovely silver-gilded frame, this one on a small scale than #4623. The molding is pale yellow in color and retains its excellent original surface. The ogee profile has contrasting matte and burnished surfaces. Overall size 32 3/4"H x 23"W Rabbet size 27 1/2"H x 18"W Molding width 3" Depth at outside edge 1 1/2" Condition: very good with age-commensurate surface wear. The molding has been resized, perhaps to make a mirror frame, as evidence by the newer nails holding the miters together.
