Mary Webster--Mirror Frames Stock #2
BIRD'S EYE MAPLE MIRROR FRAME
Circa 1870

  • This stunning mirror frame is built out of solid bird's eye maple and another hardwood, maple, perhaps. The BEM panel slants inward toward the center of the frame. Great brown/yellow/red color and early finish. The date is a guess, based on the color of the wood, the square-headed nails, the construction with butt-joined corners, square-headed nails; the mirror and backing board are obviously new.
