PAIR OF EBONIZED OVAL FRAMES FOR MINIATURES Circa 1940 This pair of ebonized oval frames were made in imitation of 19th Century frames. The backs of the frames reveal that they were made a century later. The shiny black molding is enhanced with brass along the outer and sight edges. The bolection profile rises toward the center and then falls away again. The frames have small brass hanging hooks and their original concave glass.
